Yo-Ho!

Avast, there be pirates!
So me and my co-captain James (aka McLovin) have decided after much thought to build a boat, it started out a mere 2.5m long, but now its length and awesomeness are just even more awesome than we could ever imagine.

We are planning to build a catamaran of our own design, on the awesome scale it's over 9000! Therefore we have dubbed the project, 'Over 9000!' It will be a most amazing feat of engineering and hopefully give us some good times! Permission from the Admiral (Aka 'the missus') has been sought and designs are under way at full speed.

The ship itself will be ~6m long and ~2.5m wide, be powered by a static inboard motorbike petrol engine and have two sub hulls and also, as the finest achievement, completely modular for transportation. That's right! The design will be centred on the craft's ability to be dismantled in a reasonable time (we are aiming for an hour) and transported on a small trailer by a domestic vehicle.

Also due to UK law I can only use a single axle trailer weighing no more that ¾ of a metric tonne. So light weight construction is at the heart of all our idea's. We have other ingenious idea's but for now I will leave you with a first concept picture of what we would like.
